In
Kamari you will find the most crowdy beach of the island.
It has black sand and is more than 2 kilometres long.
Next to the beach are a lot of bars, restaurants, café
and stores. At
the east you can distinguish the island Anafi. The sunrise
from Kamari, watching the sun rising from the back side
of Anafi, is magnificent.
Up to the mountain is Ancient Thera, which you can visit
on a mule or by car. From there, the view is really
beautiful, while you can see almost the half island
of Santorini.

In Mesa Gonia, the Old Kamari, is the church of Panayia
Episkopi, that was built in 1100 BC. Each year on 15
August there is organised a great feast.
If you visit Santorini on 24 September, join the feast
of Panayia (Virgin Mary) Myrtidiotissa, where you can
dance, sing and drink with the locals.
